Here is my project share for the fun and fabulous Chick Hop!

I LOVE this photo of my girl, Chloe, on a tractor. She has always loved visits to a farm, whether her Uncle Eddie's farm or an orchard with farm props!

I'm unable to pick my FAVORITE ippity stamp set, so I used a few sets inspired by this photo. Plus, I finished a Christmas gift. My sister and Eddie have three girls, so this will be a great frame for her favorite photo of them.

I used the fabulous A Bit of Burlap stamp and some fabulous stamps from the Farm Fresh stamp set.

Reflection of the weekend.

Quiet time after husband goes to work & kids go to school.

12/30/2010 Connor Diaper Head & Chloe Hippie Hair. 3 years old.

Look at you two.

Shirtless boy.

Pantless girl.

Together a whole outfit.

Not to mention the diaper head.

Or the cheesy grin with your wrinkled nose.

Or the pants that are sagging with a folded over waistband.

Then there is the hippie girl headband.

The girl who screams when I try to comb your hair.

Who fights if I try to put a simple clip or barrette in your hair.

I later found the ball, wearing the diaper from your head, behind the bar.

The hippie headband was found in the drier, after it was washed with a load of clothes.

While each day seems the same, in a Groundhog Day movie sort of day,

I'm thrown curve balls.

Like this photo.

Your daddy took it.

He sent it to me when I was having some mommy time.

Glad to see you are your creative and goofy selves for others, not just me.

I inked up my December KOM on the same day I received it.

That, in itself, is a miracle.

I have some that are months old that are begging to be inked up!

I decided to alter a small composition notebook.

My intention is this will by my to do & organization notebook.

I think my word for 2011 will be organize.

declutter. simplify. organize.

Wish me luck!

I also finished stamping my Christmas cards.

84 cards. oh. my.

Tonight, I decided to alter a $1.40 damaged frame I purchased at Hobby Lobby.

I am the person that trolls the clearance rack.

Searching for things to purchase and alter.

I have a drawer full of potential projects.

I taught a class at a crop this weekend.

I planned out three different projects from ONE

12x12 sheet of patterned paper.

I called it my 1 sheet wonder class.

It was FUN!

I have two layouts to share with you today.

I scrapbook for my twins.

I feel like I cheat when I basically copy layouts for the second album.

But, it's a finished layout, ready to add to their album.

So, I'm getting over it!

Most of my layouts are similar, if not exact.

Some layouts are more girly in color, for Chloe.

some layouts are more boyish, for Connor.

The concept is the same, but they are prettied up differently.

I have two cards to share with you today, each for a different challenge.

The first card is for the ippity four for the fourth challenge. And, I also followed guidelines for the Color Throwdown #100 challenge!

The second card is for the Unity Addicts Challenge 8. I declare a strong aversion to bows....I FINALLY put this bow together after much struggling. I'm more of a knot crafter, if you must know!

Whew. Is the weekend over so soon?

My husband and I were blessed with kids who actually slept in!

Saturday morning Chloe slept until 8:30 am and Connor until almost 10am.

I sure hope their sleep issues are resolved.

Chad and I love having a good nights sleep!

Ok. Here is my fun creation for this week.

This is a gift card holder for Chloe and Connor's preschool teacher.

It was so fun to use this fabulous stamp set.

I have plans for some other fun projects, too!

Thursday, May 13th, was the day of the BIG spring 2010 {ippity} release. In honor of the fun and creativity generated by this release, I'm sharing a few creations with these sets. Three of these cards I created for challenges at the {ippity} forum at Splitcoast Stampers. One is brand new.

The three cards above were created for challenges at Splitcoast Stampers. I'm enjoying the nudge to move out of my creative comfort zone.

This card was created new tonight. Loved playing with the stamps and paper from the new release!

Today is the day we've been anticipating!

My twins were in the NICU for 15 days after their delivery.

This is documentation of one day in the life.

This week I completed two scrapbook layouts using the fabulous
Love In Return {ippity} stamp set.

I loved the possibilities with this stamp set
and look forward to exploring this set more!

I am on a month long journey to finish one layout a day.
It's my third month doing this and I can't wait to see what I accomplish!
I also used these layouts to complete an anniversary challenge over at

I LOVE using sketches with my layouts.
Makes getting crafty so much easier,
especially when you take too many photos!

FWF {4/30/10} Unity Stamps!

If you are a fan of Unity Stamp Company, you have probably enjoyed the fun, games, new releases and wonderful creations shared this week. If not, head over here to learn more about the 2nd anniversary party: Unity at Splitcoast Stampers.

Today is FWF, or Friends with Flare. If you are jumping into the blog hop somewhere other than the Unity Blog, head over there to see links to everyone who is enjoying the fun!

This is my first time participating in the FWF blog hop. Hopefully I've followed the rules and played nice with the other hoppers!

I decided to complete one of the challenges issued on the Unity spot at Splitcoast Stampers. This challenge asked for us to use our OLDEST Unity stamp set. I have to admit, I just started my collection of Unity and Ippity stamps, so I can easily figure out which set is the oldest (it's also the stampin store kit of the month).

Using stamps from the Super Sweet side of this kit, I had fun inking up and creating this card. Not I just need to pop it into the mail for a friend I've not seen for way too long!

4/26 h{ippity} hop.

This week I used three stamps from the Where You Should Be set. I'm growing to love the flexibility from this set.

I have many more project ideas ready to be created!

I tried to make a simple, minimal supply card this week.

I started with a card base of Stampin' Up Purely Pomegranate cardstock.

I stamped, on white cardstock, the sentiment.

Using the same stamp, I stamped onto a piece of Basic Grey chipboard.

I wanted to focus on the "you" portion of the sentiment.

Next I sprayed the white cardstock and chipboard with Glimmer Mist. I experimented with the solid leaf stamp by spraying it with Glimmer Mist
and stamping directly onto the card base,
creating a subtle and organic image.
I used the leaf outline stamp and Purely Pomegranate
ink to stamp in the same area as the Glimmer Mist leaf images.
I painted the inner portion of the chipboard frame with Smooch.
Tie a couple pieces of DMC floss around the bottom portion of the card,
adhere the white portion of the sentiment behind the chipboard and
add it all to the bottom left side of the card. Not overly flashy, but when you are fabulous, you don't need it!

Weekend retreat wrap up.

I was fortunate enough to escape for a weekend for a scrapbook retreat. I joined my mom, sister and friend for a weekend of bonding and scrapping bliss! The bonus? Finishing 24 (or was it 26) layouts to add to albums. The double bonus? Winning prizes!

Another day of LOAD finished! This layout took longer than I expected, but it was fun to work on a page for a challenge. I found a sketch challenge at the Imaginisce blog, so decided to play along. There is way more pink in this layout that I'm used to, but fitting for the day. It's hard to believe this photo was taking almost 1 1/2 years ago. So much change in my dear, sweet babies. Even though they push my buttons, I love them dearly!

I signed up for another month of LOAD. It's the last time I made great progress in my scrapbook page completion. This time, I hope to make a nice dent in our wedding album. Maybe I'll have the album finished by our ten year anniversary in September! Here are the layouts for days 1, 2 and 3. Enjoy!

Adornit Blog Hop!

It's true.....Thanksgiving is right around the corner and before we know it, Christmas will be here. Your goal between now and then is to cross things off your to do list and increase the size of your finished pile! I'm so good at having a large to do list.....if only there were more hours and less blog surfing in a day.

I've had this holiday card display kit for a few years.

Always hoping it would get finished before the next year so I could actually organize my holiday cards, rather than keep them in a basket. I finally finished it in time to use before I received any holiday cheer in my mailbox!
I added a "letters to Santa" holder at the top of the display. It won't be long and I'll be helping Chloe and Connor scribble their own letters to Santa!

I think I may use this design to make birthday card displays for my two year old twins. I think by next year they'd enjoy looking at their birthday cards (at least until I can add them to their scrapbook pages)!
