new employee orientation.

It's a blast. Not boring at all. Everything is very interesting and stimulating, so no caffinated beverages are needed.......

Wouldn't that be nice? Unfortunately, it's boring. But at least the presenters realize it's not exciting stuff and expect the deer in the headlights look.

I start working nights on Sunday. Work three nights right off....so I will be quickly re-integrated into the night shift.

later,
Jennie

Hi Jennie,

How do you adjust to working nights? Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks, Stephanie

I feel your pain! I sat through orientation for 6 different jobs in 3 years after graduating and saw every variation on the HIPPA videos known to nurse-kind. And fire safety...I've even seen repeats on those. And you can't forget the lovable this-is-how-you-wash-your-hands. Should it be discouraging that hospitals actually may hire people who really don't know HOW to wash their hands? Is that not a tad disturbing? Good luck with nights...don't forget to turn on the break room TV at 4am for the "Girls Gone Wild" infomercial, it's always there waiting for ya like an old, faithful friend. :-P Catch ya later!
