You might be a nurse anesthesia graduate student if:

What do I do when I can't sleep? I plan blog entries. It's a disease.....

Anyway, you might be a nurse anesthesia graduate student if:

-your primary form of communication with family and friends is by e-mail.

-you forget what sunshine looks or feels like.

-your spouse becomes the primary wager earner, housekeeper and bed warmer of the household.

-taking a night off of studying consists of a short vacation, even if it is only to watch your favorite show on TV.

-you must read books include Guyton's Medical Physiology, Barash's Clinical Anesthesia, Morgan & Mikhail's Clinical Anesthesiology, Karlet's Nurse Anesthesia Secrets.

-Even though you have not renewed any of your magazine subscriptions, the magazine pile remains as you have no time to read for fun.

-you forget what it feels like to have an afternoon of freedom, even if it means browsing the bookstore for an hour, enjoying a coconut mocha, skim, with whip.

-you have an arsenal of (legal) stimulants and know just how and when to use them. My collection includes Boca Java whole bean coffee, brewed every morning, Diet Dr Pepper (or other caffeine laced soda), Mega T Green Tea pills (the reason, I believe, for my insomnia last night), chocolate covered espresso beans, mints with caffeine, and an occasional energy drink.

-you have a collection of mint, either peppermint or spearmint, lotion to give you a quick pick me up. Aveda, Origins and Bath and Body Works all have made mint flavored lotions.

- your wardrobe consists of clothing that is comfortable, rather than stylish, for long hours and nights of studying.

-you have a collection of highlighters, post-it notes, pens, and pencils that would rival the stock of an office supply store.

-sleeping in is a luxury.

Anyone have one to add? I'm sure I will be adding more to the list......

Jennie

You frequently use text messages as a form of communication for you do not have any time to spend on the phone and you need a quick answer.

You feel guilty when you take one night off even if it is to watch tv for an hour

and you are drunk off minimal alcohol for you never get the chance to drink anymore
