I wasn't going to comment

I often wondered if the extra time spent blogging and surfing the net would have an impact....

7:30 PM

I didn't want to give this poster the satisfaction of what they think they made me feel like. Well, I do know that this person posted from the TCU domain. Luckily, I know that not everyone from TCU has this attitude. Did it bother me? Only because they felt the need to post this. Do I think this is the reason for not passing A&P. No. If that's the case, I would not have received 2 B's and an A in my other three classes. There are going to be judgemental people everywhere. And I am that person sometimes. Luckily, I have the respect to not knock someone down even further when they are already down. As this poster stated....

not fair at all. Regardless of what you 'often wondered' this is not your forum to say. Crap happens and she needs support not your two cents from the observational peanut gallery.

Life goes on and I'll survive. With or without judgement. Luckily, this is the only negative comment I've received. Please refrain from any more. I'm beating myself up enough as it is, and don't need further judgement.

Thanks,

Jennie

Jennie,

I saw that comment right after I posted mine to you the other day. I want you to know that I am not the one that posted that negative comment! I almost replied to it, but I did not believe it was my place to do so. Anyway I just wanted to reiterate my statement the other day. I believe you to be an intelligent young lady, and I know that you can succeed in whatever venture you decide to undertake.

While I have not obtained a blogger ID, I always sign my comments as I did the other day. So keep your chin up, and you are right...not everyone feels that way here at TCU. As a matter of fact we lost several students ( not sure exactly how many, but several) just last week. I do not see the benefit in critiquing someone that is suffering such a traumatic experience as you just have.

Jennie,
there are always a few folks who find it necessary to or actually find opportunities to beat on those who are already down, or simply knock them down themselves. It has been my experience that those persons who do this, have something severly lacking in their own lives that they find it necessary to judge or condemn others. I know there will never be anyone harder on you than you have already been or will be on yourself...do not let this person, get to you. Eleanor Roosevelt said once: "no one can make you feel inferior without your consent."
don't give this anonymous person, who doesn't even identify themselves this opportunity.
Keep your head high and hang in there.
I will post this with my name-- and I was the one who already posted the comment about 'two cents'
jeff, myself, and I am sure many other bloggers adn surely your fantastic family continue to believe in you.

Thanks to both of you. Jeff, I know it was not you. That thought never crossed my mind. Good luck to both of you in your studies.

Hey Jen, this is Ray. You just said a mouthful. Dr. Reinke says it all. For those of us familiar with the program, the name strikes fear. I certainly wouldn't beat myself up on the a&p grade. I have a buddy that graduated from there in 2004 and was a great student. He told me "Reinke is a f$^$#ing sadist". Chin up chick........you can do it!

Jennie--
Just wanted to say that you are the BOMB and also one of the smartest and hardest working people I know. You will succeed and a C in Reinke does not measure your intelligence or the type of person you are. Hang in there and keep driving forward.

I'm one of your "fans," though haven't visited in a while--so I was shocked to see your sad news. I'm surprised you're not returning in August--can you explain? You've come so far. Do you not want to be a CRNA anymore? It's hard to imagine such a driven student get 1/2 way through school, get a C, and give up. How are you viewing this set-back in the big picture of your future? Remember, it's not what happens to you, but how you react to what happens to you. Good luck, wherever you go!
