Study by the timer.

I'm going to be honest with you. I'm ready to throw in the towel. I'm sick, sick, sick of studying. But, this exam will make or break me, so I have to pull up my big girl granny panties and deal with it. I've been setting my kitchen timer for 61:31 minutes. Just a random number, as the timer numbers are sticky from my previous life when I used it to cook. I study for that time, then take a break, then study for another lot of 61 minutes and 31 seconds, then study some more. At times like this, I need something to tell me keep at it. Just 15 more minutes. At this point, I'm fascinated by sparkly things and can easily let my mind wonder. The timer keeps my attention span. My attention span that is like a sugar-high kid on Halloween.

It's break time, at least for the next few minutes. Potty break and check in on my hubby and cat. I kind of think they are where they were the last time I saw them. Playing video games and sleeping on top of the couch. Wonder which is doing what????

Did I mention I was sick of studying?

Later,
Jennie

Wish I could help you Jennie, just remember that soon this will pass and you will then be obsessing on the next stage of your schooling. But before you know it we'll all be in Fort Worth cheering you on as you graduate. We are already planning on how we will all get there, possibly 12 of us hopefully, I'm not expecting 2 of the sil's to be there, guess which ones!! Love you, Mom

Jennie,

Hang in there--you are almost done. I empathize with you regarding how impossible it must feel to study. I have my nursing school final (remember that-think how far you have come) on Wednesday.

I greatly enjoy reading your blog regarding your CRNA journey. Thanks for sharing the trials and tribulations with us future hopefuls. Now go back to studying and ace that exam. Good luck! Stephanie
